A Country Barn

This work was inspired after taking a detour on a country road. It impressed me so much the first time I saw it that sunny Winter day that I knew I had to capture its beauty as an iconic symbol of farm life in Western Pennsylvania. Each plank of siding on this barn I decided to paint a different shade of red, which is why it took over thirty three hours to complete. [watercolor painted in 2014 and awarded a Blue Ribbon at the Transfer Harvest Home Fair-2014]
