At a Confluence: Anniversary Exhibit
September 5-November 13, 2014 The word “confluence” can be defined in
many ways. Sometimes it refers to the point where two rivers join to become
one. Sometimes it refers to a gathering of people or ideas, and sometimes
it refers to a situation in which two things happen simultaneously. The
Confluence, a social enterprise of Cray Youth and Family Services, embraces
all three by acting as a community gathering place on the banks of the
Neshannock Creek.
As The Confluence nears its 1st anniversary, it was only fitting that
the Hoyt chose the word to inspire the current exhibit At A Confluence
in the coffee shop’s gallery. The Hoyt has been managing rotating exhibits
in this space since November of 2013. The following local artist were
recognized for outstanding works:
First Place: Noele Reynolds
Second Place: Robert Chlosta
Third Place: Dominic Joseph Lynn
Merit Award: Lillian Reynolds Reeher Merit Award: Carol Scheftic
Merit Award: Cori Surano
Other participating artists include: Robert Balogh, Linda Brink, Pam Chill,
Patricia Clark, Karen Craven, Diane Frasso, Kate
Turek-Frissora, Nancy Jeffries, Tiffany Kelly, Jere Lillich,
Susan Linville, Rick Maro, Sheila Wallace McKayk, Terry Polonsky, and
Louis Spadanuta.
