The Lamentation of the Mermaid

Many people react to this painting with a feeling of sadness as if the mermaid is lamenting over the condition of her water environment. Although this was never my intent in this paining, the interpretation again is up to each viewer. Most of the color blending of the sea and sky were created with an air-brush technique.
