Uncaged Paradox

A surrealistic acrylic painting which the artist created to represent what all of us feel at one time or another. The need to be free. This is represented by the hawk in flight juxtaposed to the need to check ourselves with a "down to earth" sense of reality and responsibility, which is visualized by the golden cage that by its own representation cannot exist. The etherial background of the universe shows us posssibilities in life that we all strive for all the time.
