This realistic landscape was inspired by a walk- about at McConnell's Mill. It captures the subtleness of the sunny sky as a backdrop for the dense shade and rocky terrain of this path through the woodland heart of Mother Nature. [watercolor painted in 2014]

This painting was also on display at the 1st annual Lawrence County Art Show at the Lawrence County court house in New Castle, Pennsylvania, Summer 2018. All the artwork on display for this show had to be scenes from the Lawrence County area.
