A Storybook Rendition of Horse Play

This highly stylized piece is done in a story book format. It depicts horses at play. I began drawing and painting horses, as many female artists do, at a very young age. I always wanted a horse but never got one and as a child, people would ask me what I wanted be when I grew up and I would tell them I wanted to be a wild horse; never captured, ridden, and totally free to run the prairies. This thought inspired me to do a story book depiction of horses. [Painted in 2015]
